What should we wear for our portrait session?

Your pictures are a reflection of you, so I would always recommend wearing something you feel great in - whether thats jeans & a favourite tee, or something more dressy! For sibling/family shots, it looks great if you wear similar colour tones but please don't feel you have to come in matching outfits! Little ones LOVE to play dress up, so I always find time to incorporate those princess dresses & superhero costumes and I am more than happy for favourite toys & even pets to join in on the fun!!

I would recommend you don't wear items with large logos, as this can date your images really quickly and opt for plain fabrics over busy patterns....if you are unsure, please take a look through the image galleries for ideas!

What happens if my little one isn't "playing ball" on the day?

I have had more sessions than I can remember where parents are worried about little ones being shy or uncooperative! As a mum myself I understand TOTALLY & always give myself plenty of time to extend your session if necessary (at no extra charge!) and I always try to have a few tricks up my sleeve to help encourage participation (everyone loves bubbles, right?). My style is about capturing personalities, especially in children, and some of the best shots don't come from posed children, smiling straight at the camera but catching a moment of inquisitiveness, a funny face or a fit of laughter!

Whats the catch?

Well, quite simply, there isn't one! What you see, is what you get! I really don't like high pressure sales and the thought of making you choose a limited number of YOUR images, just doesn't feel right! No expensive prints, no expensive albums & no hidden charges!

I can, however, recommend a number of fantastic local & national printers, so you can create the perfect options for displaying YOUR images in your home!

Information & frequently asked questions for portrait & family sessions...

I aim to make your photo session with me as fun, relaxed & enjoyable as possible and also to provide you with

images you will treasure forever. Its for this reason I offer a number of different options for your sessions.

Studio sittings can be taken here, in my small home studio, in the heart of Poulton-le-Fylde, where I have a huge choice of backdrops & props, so you can personalise your images to your taste.

I can also bring the studio experience to your own home....perfect if you feel your small children would be more comfortable

in their familiar environment. With a little forward planning, I can still provide a selection of backdrops & props!

Another option is to book a lifestyle session...the aim of these is to capture your family in a relaxed & fun manner.

They can be taken at home or in a favourite location - the beach, a local park or even around your town!

These work especially well for families with teens or if you would like to incorporate the four-legged members of your clan too!

Here are few questions which crop up regularly, which you may find useful to read before your sitting...
